Three weeks 'til I set off for a world tour and I'm feeling rather under-prepared and sufficiently overwhelmed. This... so far is the result of my organisation; a straw hair laid out, a pair of flip flops to wear in, four unopened books and a sleeping bag stuffed, washed and ready to go.
I'll be away for four months, touring the length of New Zealand, exploring Australia, concluding with a cheeky few weeks visit to California and Florida. So... given I've got little over 20 days 'til I leave London, this post marks the beginning of a rather energetic and hopefully productive period of organisation.
I asked a friend for advice concerning how I should begin packing for such an extensive and varied trip. The advice I received was to pack as I would for a week and relish in the fact that I'll be a travelling wanderlust, making do with all that I have. I'm not quite sure I agree, but armed with some footwear, a sun-hat and a lonely planet, I feel ready to meet the challenge head on.
...the ball has started rolling, I am in motion and my feet are itching to start their worldwide adventure.
It has begun.
